Why A Bear Market Is Easier Than A Bull Market

Why A Bear Market Is Easier Than A Bull Market

Unpopular opinion time!

It’s no secret we’ve been in a bear market for a while. But I happen to believe that a bear market is a much easier place to be than a bull market.

I know it sounds crazy, but stay with me!

When we’re in a bear market, our portfolios are down, the market sentiment is low, and we’re surrounded by FUD at every turn.

But a crypto bull market? Well, that’s a whole different story… And if you haven’t experienced one yet, you’re in for a ride!

You see, in a bull market, your financial situation can turnaround VERY quickly. And for a lot of people, this causes more stress and panic than the down cycle. I’ve seen it many times before, where people become overwhelmed and agonise over decisions, such as:

  • Should I take profits now?
  • Should I wait in case it goes up more?
  • Will I miss my chance and regret it if I don’t withdraw soon?

Don’t get me wrong, these are all valid questions. But they can dominate our thoughts and give us analysis paralysis, especially when everything is soaring, and emotions are through the roof.

What I strongly recommend is that you get prepared now and formulate your investment plan, one that will keep you grounded and prevent you from doing crazy things in the heat of the moment!

What does an investment plan look like?

It’s having a target value for your portfolio and each of your coins and knowing when you will take profits.

For example, on some of my speculative DeFi projects, my plan is to take out 50% of my portfolio when it does a 10x. It’s a simple plan with a clear end goal, and it’s one I can action when things get heated.

We’re in the calm before the storm right now, and the decisions we make now could very well impact the rest of our lives. Many millionaires will be made in the next few years, so you want to start planning now to make sure you’re one of them.
