Started learning about the Bitcoin network in 2010 when Wikileaks’ PayPal account was blocked due to political pressure from the US Government. It was the promise of censorship resistant payment networks that piqued his interest, and the elegance of the solution proposed by Satoshi Nakamoto’s whitepaper that convinced him that bitcoin could be a viable solution.

He has an educational background in mathematics & communications systems and a professional background in management consulting and telecommunications. He worked on the 3G rollout in Africa, Asia & the Middle East in the 2000’s and it was during that time he saw the potential for technology solutions to vastly improve people’s lives.

He is also the director of a NFP foundation that is developing philosophy and open-source software to improve political decision-making.

He likes to read, with history, economics, psychology and philosophy being his favourite topics.

He also loves camping, hiking and travelling.
